Selian Reserve Chardonnay

Selian Reserve Chardonnay is a clear yellow white wine with light gold accents. With its powerful nose and racy bouquet of stone fruit, toasted nuts, and a suggestion of vanilla. Expressive mouth feels with a fat and ample taste of stone fruit and papaya. This is a mineral wine with an elegant oaky taste and an excellent lengthy finish. Selian Reserve Chardonnay is masterfully paired with lobster, saltwater fish, and mature cheeses.

Tasting notes

Selian Reserve Chardonnay is truly magical as it is an old world Chard with warm climate characteristics.  Lighter in color, this white wine opens with the aromas of white peaches, jackfruit, and toasted pine nuts. Full bodied, Selian is both buttery and fresh with notes of pear, fig, and caramelized sugar with a medium and bright finish.

A great wine for all occasions especially when served cold along with soft and semi soft cheeses, poultry, seafood, and nutty earthy vegetables.

The harvest is entirely manual. The grapes are pressed slowly in order to preserve their integrity and aromatic finesse. After light settling, the musts naturally ferment in oak barrels (30% new wood).

The lees can be brought back into contact with the wine by “batonnage” in order to continue to enrich it. Malolactic fermentation takes place naturally during the winter. The wines stay on the lees for 11 to 13 months before being racked and blended. After a light filtration, bottling is carried out on the premises.
